Chocolate Minty Flips

Ingredients 
Syrup Recipe: 
  • 2 cups
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 c cocoa
  • 1/2 c water
  • 2 c boiling water
  • 1/4 t salt
Drinks:
  • 1/4 c Malted milk powder
  • 2 c cold milk
  • 1-1/2 t vanilla
  • 1/2 t peppermint extract
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 2 c (1 pint) vanilla ice cream
Method
  1. Mix 2 c sugar, 1 c cocoa. Stir in 1/2 c water. Stir into 2 c boiling water. Boil 6 minutes, remove from heat. Stir in 1/4 t salt. Cool, store in fridge.
  2. Combine until smooth: 1/4 c malted milk powder and 1/4 c syrup recipe. Blend in slowly: milk, vanilla, peppermint extract, salt. Beat well. Chill. When ready to serve, add 2 c (1 pt) vanilla ice cream. Mix well.
